All profitable startups eventually face scaling issues as they grow.

This is the point where many Silicon Valley startups overextend themselves.

It’s been two years since Gigalixir expanded its core team and entered the “scaling” phase of its growth.

Whether in accounting, staffing, or technical areas, scaling requires change. This includes a different focus, re-architectured infrastructure, and increased headcount.

In the past few months, we’ve concentrated on these natural scalability steps, one at a time.

That means we haven’t spent as much effort on releasing small new features (sorry!). It was more important to be sure we were building a company that would be able to scale with our continued growth.

Gigalixir found itself at an inflection point, a point where many Silicon Valley startups decide the best course of action is to just keep pushing growth at all costs. They over-hire, overpromise, and often wreck the company within a few short years.

We’ve watched (and been part of) startups that do this too many times to count. As a business acquirer, I encounter dozens of soon-to-be-bankrupt startups at fire-sale prices because they believed “growth cures all ills.”

Two years ago, we chose a different path, prioritizing stability while scaling. We wanted to avoid the pitfalls of rapid, unsustainable growth.

I’m proud to say that Gigalixir has reached a point where scaling to the next level is the natural next step.

Now, we can focus on the significant opportunities ahead.

As part of this transition, you’ll notice more public engagement from the Gigalixir team. Expect increased activity on LinkedIn, X, and our own site.

You’ll also see me, one of the co-owners of the business, mention Gigalixir a lot more in my own content. I’m excited to demonstrate how QuotaGuard and Appointment Reminder also use Gigalixir’s hosting platform.

Welcome to the next phase of Gigalixir. We are looking forward to growing with our current customers and meeting a bunch of new ones along the way.
